Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information IJPB ("we," "us," or "our") collects when you use the IJPB AI Pipeline Builder plugin and associated cloud services (collectively, the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have. We built IJPB for researchers, so we've kept data collection to what's actually necessary to run the Service.
1. Information We Collect
What we collect depends on how you use the Service.
When you use the free plugin with your own API key:
- We collect nothing. The plugin runs entirely on your machine. Your images, prompts, and generated scripts never touch our servers.
- Your API key is stored locally by the plugin and is sent directly to your chosen AI provider (e.g., Anthropic, OpenAI) — not to us.
When you use the cloud subscription (Pro or Lab plan):
- Billing and account information: Subscriptions are handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy. We do not collect or store your email address, payment details, or account credentials — all of that is managed by Lemon Squeezy under their own Privacy Policy.
- Prompts and conversation text: The text prompts you send to the AI assistant are transmitted to our servers to generate pipeline code.
- Image data: Images are processed locally on your machine by default. If you explicitly choose to upload an image for context (e.g., to help the AI understand your data), that image is transmitted to our servers and forwarded to our AI provider for that request only. We do not retain it afterward.
- Usage data: Aggregate, anonymized usage statistics (e.g., number of pipelines generated, errors encountered) that help us improve the Service. This data is not linked to your identity.
When you visit our website:
- Standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, referring page, timestamp). We use these for security and to understand general traffic patterns, not to track individual users.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the Service, including routing your prompts to the AI and returning generated pipeline code.
- To diagnose errors, improve reliability, and develop new features — using anonymized, aggregate data only.
- To comply with legal obligations if required.
3. Your Data Is Never Used for AI Training
Your images, prompts, and generated pipelines are never used to train or fine-tune any AI model — by us or by any of our infrastructure providers. When we transmit prompts to our AI provider for pipeline generation, those requests are made under data processing agreements that prohibit training use.
4. How Long We Keep Your Data
- Prompts and images: Not retained beyond the time required to process your request (typically seconds). We do not store a history of your conversations server-side.
- Billing and account data: Managed and retained by Lemon Squeezy per their privacy policy. We do not hold a copy.
- Web server logs: Retained for up to 30 days, then deleted.
5. Sharing with Third Parties
We share data with third parties only as necessary to operate the Service:
- AI providers (e.g., Anthropic): receive your text prompts and, if you upload one, your image, solely to generate pipeline code. They are contractually prohibited from using this data for training.
- Lemon Squeezy: handles all subscription purchases, billing, and account management. Any personal information you provide during checkout is governed by Lemon Squeezy's Privacy Policy. We receive only a license key or subscription status signal — not your personal details.
- Hosting infrastructure: our servers run on cloud infrastructure providers under standard data processing agreements.
We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
6. Security
We use TLS encryption for all data in transit. Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel. That said, no system is perfectly secure. If you have a security concern, contact us at buswinka@gmail.com.
7. Your Choices and Rights
You can:
- Use the plugin entirely offline by providing your own API key and a local model (e.g., Ollama). In this mode, no data leaves your machine via IJPB at all.
- Manage or cancel your subscription directly through Lemon Squeezy — we do not hold account data to delete on our end.
- Request a copy of your data by emailing us. Since we don't retain prompt, image, or billing data, the only data we hold directly is anonymized usage statistics.

8. Cookies
Our website uses only essential cookies required for session management and authentication. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
10. Third-Party Services You Connect
If you choose to use the Service with your own API key from a third-party provider (e.g., Anthropic, OpenAI, Ollama), your prompts are sent directly from the plugin to that provider and are governed by their privacy policies. We encourage you to review those policies before use.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. For material changes, we will notify active subscribers by email. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
